Alana Rose Elliott
Alana Rose Elliott, 72, of Washington, died Friday, December 6, 2019, at Washington Hospital.
She was born July 13, 1947, in New Kensington, a daughter of the late Harry Shoup and Marie Welsh Shoup.
Alana worked at Humbert Lane, more than 20 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
She enjoyed cooking, crafts, bingo and her time at Senior Life. She loved spending time with family and friends.
On December 4, 1964, she married James Ray Elliott Sr., who died August 2, 2011.
Surviving are a son, James Ray (Pam) Elliott Jr. of Greene County; two daughters, May Louise (E.G.) Armstrong of Washington and Stacey (Alex) Elliott of Avella; five grandchildren, Amanda Melhorn, George Melhorn, Eric Richards, Dylan Fullgraf and Michael Elliott; six great-grandchildren, Calvin Melhorn, Cyan Melhorn, Charlotte Melhorn, Adaline Melhorn, Karson Richards and Karter Richards; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a grandson, Levi Elliott; and two brothers, Tom and Jim Powers.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 19, at Arise Christian Church, 682 Broad Street, Washington. Arrangements have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
