Alma L. Alrutz Schwab

Alma L. Alrutz Schwab, 96, of Burgettstown, passed away Monday, February 18, 2019.

She was born February 4, 1923, a daughter of the late Lee and Virginia Moore.

A graduate of Union High School, she worked as a clerk in the Burgettstown area and for Hagan Oldsmobile Cadillac in Washington. She was a member of Burgettstown Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder from 1981 to 1986 and sang in the choir. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, square dancing and her three pomeranians.

Surviving are her daughter, Shirley Alrutz of Burgettstown; brother Harry Moore of Ohio; sister Janie Briggs of West Alexander; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, are her husbands Charles Alrutz and Bud Schwab; four brothers, Wilber, Bill, Charles and Sam Moore; and two sisters, Nora Phillips and Mary Wilson.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Lee & Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 23, with the Rev. Cinda Isler officiating. Interment will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery.
