Marlyn L. Phillips
Marlyn L. Phillips, 72, of Claysville, went to be with her Lord Friday, February 22, 2019, in Donnell House, Washington.
She was born September 10, 1946, in Washington, a daughter of the late Earnest Boyd Allen and Sarah Elizabeth Simpson Allen.
Marlyn was manager of the cafeteria at McGuffey Intermediate School, retiring in 2016.
She enjoyed camping and spending time with family and loved going to yard sales, flea markets and shopping.
On June 26, 1961, she married Kenneth Laverne Phillips, who passed away June 26, 2008.
Surviving are her six children, Lavonne (Frank) Snodgrass of Washington, Kenny (Becky) Phillips of Washington, Annette (Frank) Jones of Claysville, Lucia (Joe) Denner of Canonsburg, Jeff (Wendy) Phillips of Linesville and Tom (Vicki) Phillips of Washington; three brothers; three sisters; 21 grandchildren, Mitch Phillips, Rachel Heather, Jennifer Campbell, Kristin Shrader, Ken “Andy” Phillips, Joe Phillips, Jenny Jones, Amanda Bedillion, Nicole O’Brien, Frank Jones Jr., Andrew Matrogran, Jessica Matrogran, Zachary Denner, Tyler Denner, Brittani Crabb, Austin Phillips, Cheyenne Phillips, Hunter Phillips, Sydney Phillips, Anthony Phillips and Cassidy Phillips; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She also leaves behind her dog, a Chihuahua named Cheech.
Six siblings and her beloved dog, Rocky, preceded her in death.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, with Pastor Joe DiDonato officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 331 South Main Street, Washington, PA 15301.
