Peggy Jean Moore
Peggy Jean Moore, 65, of Washington, died Friday, December 28, 2018, in her home with her family.
She was born in Washington, a daughter of the late Fred Hayes and Isabella Curry, and attended Washington High School.
In 1985, she and Ralph Moore Sr. purchased Old Trails Bar and Restaurant in Washington, followed by Rinky Dinks Roadhouse in 1988, where she enjoyed putting smiles on the faces of her many loyal customers.
Peggy loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, had a great sense of humor, loved to make others laugh and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She enjoyed reading, gardening, playing 500 rummy and brightening the days of all who knew her.
On March 31, 1971, she married Ralph Moore Sr., who survives.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three children: two daughters, Angela Moore and Amanda (Jason) Weaver of Washington, and a son, Ralph Moore Jr. of Washington; a brother, Bill Lennox of Pittsburgh; a sister, Donna Fullen of Florida; two grandchildren, Dawson Rice and Jaylynn Weaver, both of Washington; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are three brothers, Fred Hayes, David Hayes and Gary Hayes; a sister, Linda Hayes; and a grandson, Ralph David Moore.
A memorial service will be held in Peggy’s honor at 6 p.m. Thursday, January 3, in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, with Pastor G. Duane Wolfe officiating.
