William J. Nopwaskey Sr.
William J. Nopwaskey Sr., 66, of Crucible, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh after a lengthy illness.
He was born November 30, 1952 in Brownville, a son of the late John George and Dolores Moflar Nopwaskey.
Mr. Nopwaskey was a 1970 graduate of Beth Center High School.
For many years he worked as a mechanic, last employed by B.P. Pro Care.
Mr. Nopwaskey was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving from 1972 to 1976 during the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed fishing and computer video games.
On September 17, 1975 he married Joyce M. Suedel Nopwaskey, who survives. They celebrated 43 years of marriage.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five children, Tina Lombardo (Anthony) of Mather, Donell Nopwaskey of Crucible, William J, Nopwaskey Jr. (Ryanne) of Vestaburg, Christopher M. Nopwaskey of Fredericktown, and Gregory J. Nopwaskey of Vestaburg; three brothers, James Nopwaskey of La Belle, George Nopwaskey (Beth) of Franklin, Ga., and Thomas Nopwaskey (Tracy) of Fredericktown; two sisters, Mary Ann Leasure (Alan) of Frazeyburg, Ohio, and Bernadette Nopwaskey of La Belle; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are two sisters, Pamela Copeland and Joanne Oris.
Friends will be received Sunday, January 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Greenlee’s Fredericktown Funeral Home, Ltd., 42 Bank St. at Crawford Rd., Fredericktown.
