Dorothy M. Stiak Rencheck, 91, of Slovan, passed away on January 15, 2019 at Golden Oaks, Folansbee, W.Va. She was born on October 1, 1927, the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Rock) Stiak. Mrs. Rencheck graduated from Union High School in Burgettstown in 1945. On October 1, 1948, she married Walter Joseph Rencheck; they were married for 61 years when Walter passed in 2009.

Mrs. Rencheck was a professional homemaker, wife and mother. She was a devoted mother and grandmother; her family came first. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, crossword puzzles and reading the National Inquirer. She was proud of her Serbian heritage and shared her love of Serbian music and food with her family. Surviving are her children, Deborah Jo (Al) Peterson of Burgettstown, Michael W. (Carol) of Ontario, Canada, and MaryAnn (Jim) Reedy of Burgettstown; Grandchildren, Zack Peterson, Michael and Mitchell Rencheck and Jimmy, Joey and Julia Reedy. Greatgrandchild, Talon Peterson; sister Mary Malinowski; and sisters-in-law Josephine (Rencheck) Smolyak and Marian (Bell) Stiak

Deceased are her husband, Walter Rencheck; brother, George Stiak; and sisters, Helen Tosic and Daisy Slopek.
