Harrison Tedrow, Jr.
Harrison Tedrow, Jr., 86, of Waynesburg, passed away Friday, January 18, 2019 in the Washington Health System, Washington.
Born August 3, 1932, in Greene County, he was the son of the late Harrison and Mildred Bissett Tedrow Sr.
Harrison was a longtime resident of Bluff Ridge for 41 years until he moved to Waynesburg in 2009. He served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during the Korean War. Harrison was employed with H.C. Pierce Pipeline Company as a Pipe Bender for 25 years until he retired in 1997. He was a self-employed farmer most of his life. Harrison was a former member of UA Local Pipeliners 1098 and 798. Through the years, due to his health, his caregivers were his sister, Bessie Tedrow, Donna Eddy and Sharon Basinger. Harrison was able to spend the last three years living in the country, watching the deer, sitting on the porch and taking short walks. He moved into the RespiCenter, Waynesburg, in November of 2018. He enjoyed his short stay with the best room in the facility.
Harrison is survived by a sister, Patricia (Robert) Basinger; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Harrison was preceded in death by two sisters, Bessie Tedrow and Marjorie Reagan; a brother, Charles Tedrow; two nieces, Karen Crawford and Sara Jane Berdine; and three nephews, Kenneth Tedrow, Jerry Reagan and John Roger Reagan.
