Gerald M. Parson
Gerald M. Parson, age 66, of Claysville, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019, at the Premier Washington Health Center, Washington, Pa.
Born October 22, 1952, he was the son of Charles Glenn, of Greene County, and the late Mary June Cole Parson.
Gerald graduated from West Greene High School in 1971. He grew up in Greene County and moved to Washington County 46 years ago. Gerald was a member of the Nebo United Methodist Church, Greene County. He was employed by V-Bat Plastics for 35 years until he retired in 1998. Gerald enjoyed the outdoors and fishing at Majorville Creek.
He is survived by two daughters, Amy and Amanda Parson, both of Claysville; two brothers, Charles Thomas Parson, of Greene County, and Richard Parson, of Washington.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Jeanne (Snyder) Parson, who passed away in 1994.
A gathering of friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 26, at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 West Roy Furman Highway, Rogersville, PA 15359, 724-499-5181. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Phil Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at West Finley Cemetery, West Finley, PA.
