Frank Sindrich
Frank Sindrich, 88, of Bentleyville, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019, in his home.
He was born September 21, 1930, in Ellsworth.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. For his service, he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Stars, OCC Medal and Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
He was employed with General Motors at the Fisher Body plant in West Mifflin for 42 years, retiring in 1992.
Mr. Sindrich was a lifelong member of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish Bentleyville Campus.
He enjoyed golfing and bowling in various local leagues.
Surviving are five daughters, Rita Jean Alexander of Fallowfield Township, Cheryl Lynn Carson (Bruce) of Washington, Sandra Ann Sindrich of Washington, Merry Ann Hainer (Eric) of Eighty Four and Kelley Ann Sindrich of Ellsworth; five grandchildren, Aaron and Erik Carson, Heather Finley and Mason and Rylee Hainer; and several nieces and nephews. Frank was the last of his immediate family.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Margaret Ann Kuhar Sindrich; son-in-law Daniel Alexander; and eight brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, February 1, in Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314. Interment will be private.
