George D. Albano
George D. Albano, 91, of Washington, died Tuesday, January 29, 2019, in Transitions Healthcare.
He was born May 19, 1927, in Washington, the son of the late Frank and Agnes Palermo Albano.
George was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School and was the owner of Albano’s Produce.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church.
George loved traveling to New York City to see Broadway shows with his wife and also enjoyed watching “Jeopardy.”
On November 11, 1951, he married Mary Jean Stahl, who died June 17, 2007.
Surviving are two sons, William (Florence “Sistie”) Albano of Washington and George A. (Linda) Albano of Tulsa, Okla.; a granddaughter, Allison Albano of Tulsa; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his siblings, Antoinette Tragone, Frank “Skip” Albano, Tony Boy Albano, Dominick Albano and a brother who passed away in infancy.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 1, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 2, in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
