Duane L. Kiger
Duane L. Kiger, 82, of Prosperity, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019, in his home, following a lengthy illness.
Born September 12, 1936, in East Finley Township, he was the son of the late Kenneth L. and Clare M. Kiger.
Duane graduated from Trinity High School in 1956. He was employed with Jessop Steel as a lab technician until he retired in the late 1990s. Duane loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed watching sports and Western movies on television.
He is survived by his lovely wife, Mary Kiger, of 59 years, of Prosperity; three children, Kenneth L. (Connie) Kiger of Iowa, Cheryl (Paul) Hardway of Claysville and Duane E. (Christine Krosel) Kiger of Claysville; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Wanda Faye Wright of Waynesburg.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC, 3275 West Roy Furman Highway, Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, in the funeral home with Pastor Ronald Ringer officiating. Burial will follow at Jacksonville Cemetery, Wind Ridge.
