Norman Paul McDonough Sr.
Norman Paul McDonough Sr., 85, of Washington, died Thursday, July 11, 2019 in the Greenery.
He was born October 28, 1933, in Washington, a son of the late Gola “Earl” McDonough and Rose Mitchell McDonough.
Norman was a graduate of Washington High School and worked as a truck driver for General Cryogenics, retiring after 15 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Norman was a member of Fairhill Manor and enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren, and his dog, Muffin.
On June 16, 1960, he married Mary Louise Chivers, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Norman P. McDonough Jr of Washington and Kirk (Debra) McDonough of North Strabane; a sister, Sandra Elliott of Los Angeles, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Gannon and Gage McDonough.
Deceased are a sister, Dorothy Karluk and a brother, Donald McDonough.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, with the Rev. Gena Sheller officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
