Andrew A. Puskarich Sr.
Andrew A. Puskarich Sr., 90, of Bentleyville, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019, in his home.
He was born March 23, 1928, in Bentleyville, a son of the late Matthew and Suzanne Kubovcik Puskarich.
Mr. Puskarich attended Ellsworth High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War.
Andrew was employed as a heavy construction laborer for 40 years, retiring at age 62. He was then employed for several years at All-Clad Metalcrafters in Canonsburg.
Mr. Puskarich was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Bentleyville Campus, Knights of Columbus, Bentleyville, and American Legion Post 165, Bentleyville.
He enjoyed coaching Little League baseball in his younger years, gardening, yard work and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan.
On January 31, 1953, he married Mary Elizabeth McGinn Puskarich, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Laura Nungesser (Daniel) of Erie, Andrew A. Puskarich Jr. of East Falmouth, Mass., and Daniel Puskarich (Michelle) of Bentleyville; three grandchildren, Nolan F. Puskarich of Queens, N.Y., Bobbie C. Lester of East Falmouth and Samuel B. Puskarich of Jonesboro, Ga.; brother Albert Rastoka (Judy) of Waynesburg; sister Dora Moore (James) of Edgewater, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are six brothers, John, Joseph, Frank, Steve, Edward and George Puskarich, and two sisters, Jenny Evans and Mary Anne Hathaway.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville. A prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Katherine Drexel Parish, Bentleyville Campus, with the Rev. Donald Chortos as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Luke’s Cemetery, Bentleyville.
