Elvira Stanko Balog
Elvira Stanko Balog, 92, of Richeyville, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019.
Mrs. Balog had been a clerk at the Rosefield Grocery Store for many years and was a lifelong member of Calvin United Presbyterian Church in Brownsville, where she was active with the Ladies Aid, Lydia Circle and enjoyed singing in the choir.
She is survived by a son, William Balog (Celeste) of Richeyville; a daughter, Lydia Flauto of Elyria, Ohio; one sister, Marcella Farkas of Daisytown; and four grandchildren, William A. Balog Jr. (Teresa), Renee Sera (John), Jeffrey Flauto (Mary Jo) and Michelle Flauto; nine great-grandchildren, Tyffini, Skyeler, Talon, Seattle, Antonette, Blake, Brycen, Ellianna and Victoria; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are her parents, Louis and Lidia Stanko; husband William Balog, whom she shared 49 years of marriage with; son-in-law, Tony Flauto; four sisters, Lillian Waugh, Viola Matola, Charlotte Garcia and Ella Mae Miller; and two brothers, Louis and Arpod Stanko.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 8, at a time to be announced. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery.
