Helen M. Koleck
Helen M. Koleck, 86, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Roscoe, died Wednesday, May 8, 2019, with her family at her side.
She was born June 7, 1932, in Mather, the only daughter of the late Rudolph and Anna Grasha Zugel.
Mrs. Koleck was a 1950 graduate of Jefferson High School and had been a homemaker.
She was a longtime member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Roscoe campus, formerly St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, and a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union, St. George Lodge 354 of Cokeburg, where she played with the St. George Tamburitzans for more than 35 years and loved traveling with them. She loved Croatian music and, most of all, her grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband of more than 65 years, George E. Koleck, whom she married June 26, 1954.
Also surviving are two sons, George J. Koleck (Carol) of Pittsburgh and Vince E. Koleck (Diana) of Leesburg, Fla.; five grandchildren, Andrew Koleck (Tracey), Karl Koleck (Theresa), Kevin Koleck, Pamela Keller (Patrick) and Anthony Koleck (Jaclyn); and one great-granddaughter, Carmen Koleck.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, where prayers will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Bentleyville Campus, with the Rev. Edward L. Yuhas as celebrant. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township.
