Robert J. Heinz Sr.
Robert J. Heinz Sr., 75, of Scenery Hill, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019, in his home.
He was born November 2, 1943, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Frederick and Agnes Hannah Heinz.
Mr. Heinz was a 1962 graduate of Carrick High School. He was formerly employed for many years as a millwright at J&L Steel Southside Works and was also employed at Technology Inc. in Bentleyville for more than 40 years.
Robert was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish Bentleyville Campus for many years.
He enjoyed gentleman farming, camping and cutting grass.
On April 27, 1963, he married Patricia Pistorius Heinz, who survives. They celebrated 56 years of marriage.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are five children, Elaine D. Heinz of Bentleyville, David E. Heinz (Marcie) of Kite, Ky., Steven M. Heinz of Eighty Four, Robert J. Heinz Jr. of Scenery Hill and Daniel R. Heinz (Kathy) of Belle Vernon; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, Frederick and Richard Heinz.
Friends will be received from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 17, with the Rev. Edward Yuhas officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
