Dorothy B. Lipscomb
Dorothy B. Lipscomb, 93, of Ellsworth, died Thursday, November 14, 2019, in the Donnell House.
She was born March 29, 1926, in Chicago, Ill., a daughter of Charles and Adeline Bishop.
Mrs. Lipscomb was a 1944 graduate of Ellsworth High School and had been employed for many years at the Washington Hospital as a LPN before her retirement in 1990.
She had been Baptist by faith, a member of the Bentleyville Senior Center, Eastern Star and also the Pride of the Valley Chapter #70, where she had been a worthy matron for 10 years. She enjoyed bingo, crochet, knitting and traveling.
Surviving is one son, Leonard Lipscomb of Ellsworth.
Deceased in addition to her parents is her husband, George Lipscomb; and a sister, Gertrude McCary.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, where funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, in Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, with the Rev.
