Nancy J. Scears, 70, of Houston, died Friday, December 11, 2020, in the Donnell House, Washington, with her family by her side.

She was born December 26, 1949, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Bernard and Jane Gallagher Frantz.

Nancy was a 1967 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and was member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Houston.

Mrs. Scears had worked at the former Houston Foodland, Shop N Save in McMurray and Dollar General in Houston, retiring in 2019.

She enjoyed fishing and crocheting.

On September 18, 1971, she married Larry W. Scears, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Kevin Scears (Jamie) and Brian Scears (Tiffany), both of Washington; four grandchildren, Cody and Kasey Scears, and James and Austin MacKinney; two brothers, Terry Frantz (Joyce) of Canonsburg and Ricky Frantz (Sharon) of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 14, in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342.

Due to present circumstances, service and interment will be private.
