Samuel Byron Pattillo

Samuel Byron Pattillo, 74, of Scenery Hill, died Monday, December 7, 2020 at his home.

He was born March 6, 1946 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Samuel Percy and Doris Collins Pattillo.

Sam was retired as a self-employed roofer.

He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Thomas Presbyterian Church in Eighty Four and American Legion Post 945.

Sam enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Joy Henze Pattillo; three daughters, Lynn (Bryan) Moore, Heather (Mark) Boyer, both of Scenery Hill, and Dawn (Timothy) Crim of Washington; a brother, Doug (JoAnn) Pattillo of Florida; a daughter-in-law, Christi (Dave) Kulp of Finleyville; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a son, Samuel Lee Pattillo; and a sister, Barbara Jean Sell.

Friends will be received on Friday, December 18, 10 a.m. to noon, the time of a memorial service with Reverend Bill Youmans officiating, at Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim Kegel, Supervisor, David P. Kegel, Director, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. Inurnment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
