Darlene Jean Martys Pirmez, born March 23, 1959, in Canonsburg, went to glory Thursday, December 17, 2020, after a lengthy illness from her battle with diabetes and kidney disease.

A 1977 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School, she loved her quiet country road trips, as well as spending time with friends and family. Being an animal advocate also made Darlene proud alongside with her dog, Kida.

Surviving are mother Lucille Donella Martys; husband Greg Pirmez; daughter Alissa Hildebrand (Pirmez); sister Diane Scandolari; grandchildren Lillyana and Ezekiel Hildebrand.

Deceased are father Frank Martys; and daughter Kallie Pirmez.

Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, December 26, in St. Patrick’s Church, Canonsburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Washington Humane Society (WAHS) in Darlene’s memory.
