Margit E. McAnany
Margit E. “Maggie” McAnany, 73, of Washington, formerly of Westland, died Wednesday, December 23, 2020, in her sister’s home.
She was born September 6, 1947, in Hanau, Germany, a daughter of the late Joseph H. and Margot Reitz Cass.
Mrs. McAnany was a 1965 graduate of Fort Cherry High School.
Maggie was a psychiatric aide at Mayview State Hospital, where she had worked for 32 years before retiring.
She enjoyed reading, and loved traveling, and her parrot, Sweet Pea.
On June 12, 1965, she married Danny William “Mac ” McAnany, who died April 6, 2019.
Surviving are a sister, Vicky (Bill) Devore of Waynesburg; a grandson, Danny W. (Amy Kisner) McAnany II; a niece, Christa Devore; great-nieces and nephews, who were like grandchildren to her, Christopher Devore, J. Weber, Ember Weber, Amrei Weber and Diesel Weber.
Deceased is a son, Jason Joseph McAnany.
