Raymond Albert “Shoes” Bohn, 92, of Burgettstown, formerly of California, passed away after a brief illness Saturday, December 26, 2020.

Ray was the beloved husband of 56 years to Jane Coatsworth Bohn; loving father of Charles (Denise) Bohn, Kellie Bohn Healy, Drew (Andrea) Bohn; devoted Pap of Matthew (Ginny) Bohn, Nathan (Kristen) Bohn, Samuel Bohn, Elizabeth Healy, Alexandra Healy, Evan Bohn and Erik Bohn; brother of the late Bill Bohn; brother-in-law of the late Don (Betty) Coatsworth and Marie Satifka. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Albena Bohn.

Ray proudly earned his bachelor’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania (formerly California College). He served two years in the Navy and earned a World War II Victory Medal. Ray’s greatest joys in life were spending time with his loving family, dancing (which is how he got his nickname, “Shoes”), playing golf (even though he stunk), watching Pitt football, Steelers football and Pirates baseball, science (6th grade science teacher at Burgettstown) and his VO Whiskey.
