Michael L. “Larry” Luisi Jr., 83, of Niles, Ohio, formerly of Meadow Lands, died Wednesday, February 5, 2020.

He was born June 22, 1936, in Canonsburg, a son of Michael and Evelyn DePalma Luisi.

On November 16, 1957, he married Virginia Golitz Luisi, who survives.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Meadow Lands. He served his country in the United States Army, and was a member of the American Legion Post 902, Houston.

For 38 years, he owned and operated Larry’s Auto Service in Meadow Lands. He loved stock car racing, and in the 1960s and 1970s, he built and raced his own cars. Mr. Luisi enjoyed remote control airplanes, and loved traveling with his wife and ballroom dancing.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his son, Richard (Amy Barger) Luisi of Niles, Ohio; two sisters, Connie Bielick of Naples, Fla., and Vera Albanese of Washington’ several nephews and a niece.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Luisi.

Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000. Departing prayers will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Meadow Lands. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
