Samuel Lee Maloy V
Samuel Lee Maloy V, 30, of Greensburg, formerly of Washington, died Saturday, January 11, 2020, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born March 26, 1989, in Washington, a son of Samuel Lee Maloy IV and Cindy (Joseph) Bonus, who both survive.
Sam enjoyed gardening, gaming, being out in nature and spending time with friends and family. He was outgoing and loved to travel and meet new people. He enjoyed trips to many destinations, including New York City, Toronto, Hawaii, Israel and most especially New Orleans. Sam was much loved and will be missed more than can be put into words.
On May 15, 2015, in Washington, he married the love of his life, Joseph Braucher, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his husband and parents, are a brother, Jake Bonus; two sisters, Constance (Mitchell) Dobrzynski of Savannah, Ga., and Isabella Bonus; his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Bonnie Wheeler; his paternal grandfather, Samuel (Linda) Maloy; a cousin, Liam Wheeler; an aunt, Erica (Jim) Wheeler-Pickett; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Deceased is his paternal grandmother, Carol Maloy.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, January 16, in Hummell and Jones Funeral Home, 421 Locust Avenue, Washington, Douglas M. Jones, supervisor. All other services are private.
