Glenda Joyce Napper
Glenda Joyce Napper, 74, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Canonsburg, died Sunday, January 12, 2020.
She was born April 3, 1945, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Jesse James and Glendora Rainey Jackson.
Ms. Napper was an active member of the Second Baptist Church in Homestead. Prior to her retirement, she worked as an Office of Vocational Rehabilitation counselor for the State of Pennsylvania.
Surviving are her daughter, Sydnee Napper of Pittsburgh; son John Napper of Pittsburgh; brother Stephen (Selma) Jackson of Moon; six grandchildren, Ta-Jore, Brian, Xavier, Sykai, Jokani and Samantha; and two great-grandchildren, Xavier and Dominique.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Napper; her brothers, William, James and Douglas; and sisters Gloria Johnson and Rayette Jackson.
Arrangements are entrusted to Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, January 18, in Second Baptist Church of Homestead, 108 West 12th Avenue, Homestead, PA 15120. Burial will be private.
