Adeline Marino Livingston, 92, of Washington, died Thursday, June 4, 2020, in her daughter’s home in Canonsburg, surrounded by her daughter and son.

Born October 7, 1927, in Washington, she was a beautiful daughter of the late Alessandro and Teresa Russo Marino; a loving sister to her two late brothers, Jeano and Antony Marino; and sister-in-law to Nina Marino of Westport, Conn.

Mrs. Livingston graduated from Washington High School in June 1945, and upon graduation worked at the Washington County Court House.

A parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, she was married there September 11, 1947, to William C. Livingston, who died June 28, 1985.

A loving and devoted wife, they raised eight children – four daughters and four sons – in Washington, Cheryl (Brian) Mehalovich, who passed November 11, 2016, Lynn Pi of Phoenix, Ariz., Bruce Livingston of Canonsburg, Valerie Gattinella of Greenwich, Conn., Dawna Lacouture of Canonsburg, Brian (Lori) Livingston of Export, Keith Livingston of Washington and Kent (Angela) Livingston of Aurora, Ill.

She was a loving grandmother to 15 grandchildren, Matthew, Michael (Shelly) and Mark (Inga) Mehalovich, Aaron (Julie) and Jason Pi, Kyler and Leslie Livingston, Kylie (Alex) Gattinella Van Hoek, Christopher, Taylor and Alex Gattinella, Emily (Paul) Quartuccio, Molly Livingston, and Ian and Shane Livingston, and great-grandmother of eight, Livia Mehalovich, Stella and Sebastian Mehalovich, Julius Livingston, Jacob and Benjamin Quartuccio, Khristian Livingston and Ava Van Hoek.

A woman of great faith, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, the O-R crossword puzzle, “Jeopardy,” shopping, traveling, the opera and ballet, literature and fall foliage.

For those of us who knew her, she was warm, nurturing, kind, sincere, elegant, loving and giving, a beautiful soul who balanced, anchored and inspired us. She kept everyone content and happy, and truly made our home into a pearl.

In the continued interest of public safety, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington.
