Elizabeth Kimtantas
Elizabeth “Liz” Kimtantas, 92, of Washington, formerly of Clarksville, passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Friday, February 28, 2020, in Strabane Woods, Washington.
She was born February 26, 1928, in Vestaburg, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lena Roncadori Impiccini.
Liz was a 1947 graduate of Centerville High School.
She was a long-time florist and shop owner of Clarksville Floral.
Liz was a very active member of the former St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church and the Christian Mother’s Society.
She was also a member and site supervisor of the Clarksville Senior Citizens Center, a member of the Business Professional Women, the Eagles Auxiliary, Elder Care of CASW, Clarksville Fireman’s Auxiliary, Clarksville Lions Club and the Red Hatters “Mama Mia” Club of Uniontown.
On February 25, 1993, she married Pete K. Kimtantas, who died January 2, 2013. Also deceased is her first husband, George Dobbins, who died in 1958.
Surviving are four daughters, Jan (Richard) Thomas of Morgantown, W.Va., Debbie (Steve) Duncan of Newtown, Vellamarie “Pudge” Devecka of Clarksville and Denise (Ken) Pohill of Kearneysville, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased, in addition to her husbands, are a son, John Jakubik; a granddaughter, Amanda Jakubik; six brothers, Joseph Impiccini, Gasper Impiccini, Roman Impiccini, Mario Impiccini, Quinto Impiccini and James Impiccini; and two sisters, Rose Marie Chambers, and Dolores Miller.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, in Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where a Blessing Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, with Fr. J. Francis Frazer officiating. Entombment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
