Arlene G. Fritch

Arlene G. Fritch, 89, of Burgettstown, passed away Wednesday morning, May 6, 2020, in South Hills Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, Canonsburg.

She was born July 7, 1930, in Muse, a daughter of the late Thomas T. Ellsworth Sr. and Katherine Muders Ellsworth.

A graduate of Union High School in Burgettstown, she and her husband owned Fritch’s Sporting Goods on Railroad Street in Burgettstown.

She was a member of Colliers First Church of God.

Her husband, John Fritch, passed away February 26, 1994.

She is survived by her three sons, John Fritch of Burgettstown, Paul Fritch and wife Terri of Burgettstown and Martin Fritch of Boston, Mass.; seven grandchildren, Christopher Fritch and wife Leia, Christina Fritch, Randy Strope and fiance Julie Howe, Tabitha Baker and husband Matthew, Bradley Fritch, Jonathan Fritch and Haley Fritch; 11 great-grandchildren, Kayla, McKenzie, Terry, Santino, Carmina, Angello, Molly, Carter, Olivia, Selena and Tyler; a brother, Thomas Ellsworth Jr. and wife Cherry; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a son, Marvin T. Fritch; a grandson, Kyle Fritch; and a daughter-in-law, Carla Fritch.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services officiated by the Rev. Douglas Keith of Amedisys Hospice and interment in Grandview Cemetery were held privately for her immediate family.

Arrangements were under the direction of Lee & Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021.

Because of the exceptional care provided to Mrs. Fritch, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Amedisys Hospice Care, 480 Johnson Road, Suite 230, Washington, PA 15301.
