Harry Horwatt
Harry Horwatt, 91, of Canonsburg, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020, in Premier Washington Health Center. He was born August 8, 1929, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Peter and Eva Schmegda Horwatt.
Harry was a life-long resident of Canonsburg. Throughout his life, Harry worked at several country clubs and high-end restaurants as a bartender. Most recently, he was employed by Harry M. Stevens as bar manager at the Meadows Racetrack.
Harry was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Canonsburg and an active member of the Canonsburg Sons of Italy. He was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, an avid golfer and loved visiting Tucson, Ariz., where he had a lifelong dream of someday living.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his sister, Elizabeth Pensak of Cincinnati; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are four brothers, Frank, Steven, William and Peter Horwatt; and four sisters, Julia Cunic, Annie Tornabene, Helen Mae Horwatt and Mary Horwatt.
Private family services and interment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
