Tracy Mestrovic Jewett

Tracy Mestrovic Jewett, 56, passed away on Saturday, April 3, in Valley Grove, WVa.

Tracy was born on December 13, 1964 to Albert Mestrovic Sr. and Patricia Kirkbride in Wheeling, WVa.

She graduated from Wheeling Park High School. Continuing her academic career, she received a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Marshall University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Wheeling Jesuit University. Tracy built a successful career of 20 years as a Multi-Media Sales Consultant for Observer-Reporter and Almanac Newspapers in Washington, Pa.

Tracy had a love for animals, especially her dogs, Chester and Frankie. She was an avid bowler, and an active member of Town and Country Bowling League. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Bud, always to a new destination. She loved to take photos and share stories of what she saw on her adventures. She was also a member of Elm Grove Eagles Auxiliary.

Tracy was preceded in death by her father, Albert Mestrovic Sr.; mother, Patricia Kirkbride; and step-father, Frank Kirkbride.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 29 years, Clarence “Bud” Jewett; brother, Albert (Sherrie) Mestrovic Jr.; sister, Beverly (Robert) Fahey; half sister, Heather Annett; nephew, Jesse Mestrovic; nieces, Amanda West, Alison Covert, and Bobbi Leigh Fahey; several great-nieces and nephews, Alivia, Gabriel, Logan, Cody and Luke; special great-nieces, Lailah and Saoirse Covert; stepchildren, Holly (Kendra) Jewett-Reynolds, and Tiffany (Kevin) Beaver; stepgrandchildren, Addison and Ethan Beaver, who she adored dearly; and many cousins, including a special cousin, Tammy Kerr.

A visitation will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 9 in Altmeyer’s Funeral Home, Elm Grove, WVa. A vigil will be held Friday night at 7:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10 at Altmeyer’s. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

In consideration of the health and safety of friends and family, all social distancing practices and facial covering recommendations will be observed for all services.
