Shirley R. Fuller
Shirley R. Fuller, 78, of Washington, died Sunday, April 18, 2021, in her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born December 12, 1942, in Washington, a daughter of the late William and Alberta Frye Fuller.
Ms. Fuller attended Wiley Avenue School and was a homemaker.
She enjoyed gambling at the Meadows, bingo and playing cards. She belonged to several clubs, the Alpine and the Jessup Club among them.
On December 12, 1961, she married Charles Samuel Gatten. Mr. Gatten died April 20, 1988.
Surviving are two daughters, Sheryl Roupe and Jackie (Phil Van Orden) Shirley, both of Washington; a brother, Robert (Bonnie) Fuller of Washington; two sisters, Karen (Chuck Megyesy) Fuller and Sandy (Richard) Pitzarella, both of Washington; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a daughter, Donna Gatten; four brothers, Jimmy, Buster, Billie and Danny Fuller; four sisters, Snookie Craig, Patty Andreetti, Bonnie Orum and Sharen McFall; and two grandchildren, Michael Bazzoli and Renee Gatten.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, in the Hummell and Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 22. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
