Royce L. Yannacci, 64, of Cokeburg, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021, in his home, after battling an illness for six months.

He was born November 8, 1956, in Monongahela, a son of the late Carmen and Stella Carducci Yannacci of Bentleyville. Royce was the youngest of eight siblings.

After graduating high school with Bentworth Class of 1974, he went on to work as a top climber for Asplundh Expert Tree Service for many years. He then retrained and worked for many more years as a journeyman lineman electrician for Local IBEW #126, traveling and working large jobs and natural disasters, such as the Great Canadian Ice Storm of 1998, before retiring.

Royce was a member and officer of the Cokeburg Moose, L.O.O.M. #1625, as well as a member of the Independent Italian Club of Bentleyville.

When he was able, he enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. His favorite pastimes were golfing, gardening, listening to classic rock, fixing things around the house and working on his motorcycle, not to mention rooting for his Oakland (now Las Vegas) Raiders.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a sister, Pagan Batson, who died in 2011.

Surviving to cherish his memory are Valerie Vahaly, his companion (fiancee) of 11 years and with whom he made his home; two sons, Dominek Yannaci and Roland Yannacci of Washington; his siblings, Robert Yannacci of Belle Vernon, Candy Selvoski (Sonny Palcic) of Bentleyville, Crystal Aiken of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Charmaine Chrobak of Bentleyville, Roland Yannacci (Kim) of Fort Lauderdale and Reid Yannacci (Lawanda) of Bentleyville; his grandchildren, Knoxx, Knash and Kneriah Yannacci of Eighty Four; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation or service at this time. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at a late date.
