Robert Hayes Campbell Jr.
Robert Hayes Campbell Jr., 65, of Washington, died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 21, 2021. He was born April 29, 1955, in Washington, a son of the late Robert Hayes and Mona Faye Moore Campbell Sr.
Mr. Campbell served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a hard worker and a jack-of-all-trades working many jobs throughout his life from a truck driver to a short order cook.
Mr. Campbell was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars #927, the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post #175 and various other organizations. He enjoyed working on cars, taking rides in the country and hanging out with friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving are his former wife, Joyce D. Wright of Washington; two sons, Joshua (Angela) Campbell of Washington and Jake Campbell of Washington; two stepsons, Ronnie Chenney of Claysville and Eric Chenney of Washington; a daughter-in-law, Amy Chenney of Canonsburg; two brothers, Jeffrey Campbell and Gary Campbell, both of Madill, Okla.; two sisters, Deborah (Michael) Duda of Wellsburg, W.Va., and Sandra Laskarzewski of Jacksonville, Fla.; and five grandchildren, Lillian, Harleigh, William, Coty and Sabrina. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Campbell.
