Robert Lane Conner
Robert Lane Conner, 81, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021, in Houston, Texas, where he resided for the past 55 years. Bob was born April 9, 1940, in Washington, to Helen Hennen Conner and George Conner.
With his dad in the Air Force, Bob moved frequently, ending up in Chicago for high school and Madison, Wis., where he earned his B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin.
Bob proudly served in the Army in Korea and afterwards earned two master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin in finance and real estate. With his real estate degree in hand, he moved to Houston, where he worked in commercial real estate investments.
In 1978, he married Jeanette Thomas, who preceded him in death.
Bob is survived by his sister, Jeannine Conner Cassell and husband Dick Bell; nephew Chris Cassell and wife Whitney; niece Julia and nephew Connor. Jeannine and Chris’ families currently reside in Mooresville, N.C.
