Charles M. Kendlick

Charles M. Kendlick, 81, of Washington, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 31, 2021, with his family by his side. He was born October 17, 1939, in Avella, a son of the late Charles C. and Elizabeth Whitco Kendlick.

Mr. Kendlick was a graduate of Avella High School. He served in the Air National Guard of Pennsylvania and the Reserve of the United States Air Force before being honorably discharged.

Mr. Kendlick was employed as a union carpenter and construction superintendent in the commercial construction industry for more than 60 years up until his retirement.

He was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church of St. James Parish.

Mr. Kendlick was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Union Local #541 and the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post #175. He enjoyed his pets that he had over the years, fishing, hunting, boating and gardening. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially time spent with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Kendlick was a true family man and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

On September 1, 1962, he married Sarah Ragusa, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Michael (Jessica) Kendlick of Cranberry Township; a daughter, Connie (Rob) Crowley of Washington; four sisters, Mary Salatino, Margaret Duda, Barbara Rumberger and Joann Albert; five grandchildren, Robin Crowley (Josh) Gural, Chris Crowley, Anastasia Kendlick, Ayden Kendlick and Addison Kendlick. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his father and mother, Mr. Kendlick was preceded in death by a son, Charles Vincent Kendlick.

Friends will be received from 8 until the 9 a.m. hour of a prayer service Thursday, August 5, in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, Park N. Crosier, director. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church of the St. James Parish, Henderson Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Michael Peck as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Avella.
