Mary Jane Willard
Mary “Jane” Willard, 65, of Sycamore, died peacefully Saturday, July 31, 2021, in her home.
She was born January 17, 1956, in Shirley, Indiana, to Hilda Brown Dillie Vanistendael of Fort Myers, Fla., and the late Donald Dillie.
Jane was a Greene County resident for the past 36 years after moving from Washington County.
She began dating her husband, Lawrence Wayne Willard, in 1970. They married March 2, 1973 and remained happily married for 48 years.
Jane worked at Gabe’s for five years before leaving to be a full-time homemaker. She came from a very large family and enjoyed her time at home gardening, listening to music and riding motorcycles.
Surviving, in addition to her mother and her husband, are two sons, Wayne (Angel) Willard and Joseph Eli Willard, both of Waynesburg; six sisters, Deborah “Debbie” Brooks of Washington, Delores (Kurt) Hickman of Providence Forge, Va., Gloria Renee (Michael) Fuller of Pittsburgh, Yvonne McClure of Charlotte, N.C., Charlene Vanistendael of Pittsburgh and Beth Ann (Calvin) Heasley of Canonsburg; three brothers, Kevin (Myong Cha) Dillie of Somerset, Ky., Paul Dillie of Indiana and Mark (Carrie) Vanistendael of Venetia; six grandchildren, Tyler King of Waynesburg, Allen Willard of Washington, Rory, Nickolas, Noah and Andrew Willard, all of Waynesburg.
Preceeding her in death are her two fathers, Donald Dillie and David Vanistendael; her son, James Andrew Willard; and two brothers, Raymond and Christopher Vanistendael.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 5, in the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Highway, Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181. A funeral service will be held immediately following the viewing at 8 p.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Jim Jarvis officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Jane’s family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home to cover funeral expenses.
