Betty J. Persin
Betty J. Persin, 86, of Bulger, passed peacefully, at Brightwood Center in Follansbee, W.Va., Tuesday morning, August 3, 2021.
She was a daughter of the late George and Laura Antill Pierce; beloved wife of the late Frank Persin, who passed in 1996; devoted mother of Darlene Moore and her husband, Terry; cherished grandmother of Morgan Moore; and great-grandmother of Nixon Presutti and Roman Allen; sister of the late Mary White and Lillian Chappell.
Along with her husband, Frank, they owned the former Persins Tavern for 35 years which now is named Bavington Roadhouse.
Betty loved to cook and bake, playing bingo, listening to polkas, traveling, especially to Las Vegas where she left all her winnings there. She loved her canine friend, Buffy, and enjoyed her church family in Brightwood Center.
Family to receive friends in the Herrick Compassionate Funeral Service, PC, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, 724-695-7332, between the hours of 6 to 8 p.m., the time of service, Friday, August 6. Private interment will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence.
