Delbert M. Stewart, 77, of Washington, originally born in Coraopolis, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was the beloved husband of Susan Eilene Stewart; cherished father of Lori (Matthew) Leonard and David Stewart; loving grandfather of Gabrielle Leonard, Josephine Leonard, Brandon Stewart, Alyssa Stewart and Devin Stewart; dear son of the late Delbert Lee and Mary Etta Stewart; treasured brother to the late Dawn (Long), and surviving Madeline Sprowls, Melody Stockdale, Twilight Pollnow and brother James Clark Stewart; along with many other family and friends.

Delbert graduated from Chartiers High School in Houston. He loved to ride his motorcycle in his free time and really enjoyed the feeling of freedom while doing so. Delbert was an active member of the Church of Christ in Washington and participated in many events with them. He was part of the Christian Outreach Program in his community. Delbert was a big country music fan. When able, he loved to go with his brother to see his nephew’s band perform. He enjoyed playing card games with his family.

A memorial service will take place at a later date at the Church of Christ in Washington.
