Ruth M. Cummings
Ruth M. Cummings, 79, of Paris, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021. She was born September 9, 1941, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Emerick Yates. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Twila Virginia Papay.
Ruth was a member of Paris Presbyterian Church, Weirton Chapter No. 147, O.E.S. She was a graduate of Peters Township High School.
Ruth and Don enjoyed traveling. They had camped in the 48 contiguous states. Her talents included designing and printing her own greeting cards … and baking the best chocolate chip cookies.
Ruth retired as a legal secretary for the late Leonard Alpert.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Donald McKinley Cummings; son Donald Bruce “D.B.” Cummings (Amy) of Summerville, S.C.; grandsons Matthew Cummings, Xander Cummings.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of a funeral service, Friday, August 13, in Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, W.Va., with D.B. Cummings presiding. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery, Florence.
