Janie Bernard
Janie Bernard, 74, of Houston, went home to be with her Lord Friday, August 13, 2021.
She was born June 24, 1947, in Washington, a daughter of the late Walter and Lucy Jane Mosier Murray.
Mrs. Bernard attended Chartiers-Houston schools and worked for over 15 years at the McDonald’s in Canonsburg, retiring in 2017.
She enjoyed going to the casino.
On May 12, 1981, she married George Bernard, who died October 10, 1983.
She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly “Kim” Grigoropoulos (Peter) of Canonsburg.
Preceeding her in death are a brother, Robert Wylie Murray; and a sister, Ruth Ann Murray.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 17. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
