William R. Latini
William R. “Bill” Latini, 71, of McGregor Road, Butler, Clay Township, went to be with his Lord unexpectedly, of natural causes, Sunday, August 15, 2021, in Butler Memorial Hospital.
William was born June 23, 1950, in McDonald, Washington County, a son of the late Bruno and Anne Ciammaichella Latini.
He was a graduate of Fort Cherry High School and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing, and most especially the company of his family. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the Moraine Sportsman’s Club in Slippery Rock, and was a life member of the McDonald Rod and Gun Club. Bill attended Faith Fellowship Alliance Church in Butler. He had been employed by Duquesne Power and Light and retired from NRG.
Bill is survived by his wife, Maryann Sabo Latini, whom he married in McDonald August 18, 1974. Also surviving are three children, Deborah A. Gilbert of Butler, Sandra L. Frankenberry of Calcutta, Ohio, and Mariann Clark and husband Larry of McMurray; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara Weiner of Cecil, Carol Litwan of Washington and Janice Vernillo of Midway; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, in Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faith Way Drive, Butler. A funeral service will follow from the church at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Richard Jenks, church pastor, officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Chicora and Brady’s Bend American Legion posts. Interment will be in North Butler Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
