John J. Howarth Jr.
John J. Howarth Jr., 75, of Temecula, Calif., formerly of Monessen, passed away July 26, 2021, in Temecula Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was the beloved husband of 43 years to Carol Yanachik Howarth. John is also survived by his children, Sherry Williams of Mt. Lebanon, Cathy Sibert of Donora, Cody and Cameron Howarth of Temecula; his sister, Karen Ditta of Canonsburg; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Vernice Howarth Sr.; and brother, Harry Howarth.
John served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam after graduating from Monessen High School. He retired from U.S. Steel Clairton Works.
John was a true family man and loved to camp, fish and spend time with his wife and children.
A service with full military honors will be held at 1:15 p.m. P.T., 4:15 p.m. E.T., August 24 at Riverside National Cemetery in California.
