Nancy Jako
Nancy Jako, 80, of West Alexander, died August 16, 2021, in the Donnell House.
She was born November 7, 1940, in Washington, a daughter of the late Ernest Allen Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth Simpson Allen.
A graduate of Claysville High School, she was a member of West Alexander Methodist Church.
She was retired from Consolidated Truck Stops.
Nancy was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the West Alexander American Legion #656. She enjoyed going to the McGuffey Senior Center; and loved yard sales, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
Surviving are three children, Kim (Paul) Dearing of West Alexander, Harry (Brenda) Phillips of Dallas Pike, W.Va. and Melissa Frye of Valley Grove, W.Va.; four siblings, Betty Lemley of Washington, Ed (Letha) Allen of Florida, Chuck (Diane) Allen of Taylorstown and Bob (Mary) Allen of Scenery Hill; 10 grandchildren, Josh (Fern) Phillips, Catlin Phillips, Sarah Phillips, Jeremy (Tanya) Dearing, Justin (Darsell) Dearing, Jessica (Matt) Lilley, Zach Frye, Zayden Richey, Heidi Porter and Max Leppert; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a daughter, Nancy Renee Phillips; a grandson, Jacob Rayland Dearing; and seven siblings, David Allen, Ernest Allen Jr., Luella Crupe, Juanita Crupe, Paulette Ritter, Judy Kusch and Marlyn Phillips.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 19, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 20, with Pastor Daniel Grimes officiating.
Burial will follow in West Alexander Cemetery.
