Marylouise Houston
Marylouise Houston, 89, of Washington, died Sunday, August 15, 2021, in Washington Hospital, surrounded by her daughters.
She was born April 8, 1932, in Washington, a daughter of the late William W. and Mary E. Greathouse Kinnan.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved family dinners, front porch sitting, games, traveling, and long talks around the kitchen table.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Richard L. Houston, whom she married September 11, 1954.
She also leaves behind an adoring family of two daughters, Dawn R. Houston and Beth A. (Keith) Pasquariello, both of Washington; and three grandchildren, Meghan (Andrew) Griffin, Emily Pasquarirello and Taylor (Kayla) Pasquariello.
Deceased is a brother, Donald “Ellery” Kinnan.
Mrs. Houston was a 1949 graduate of Washington High School and went on to be an operator at Bell Telephone, then a line worker at both Bobbie Brooks and Brockway Glass #11.
She was a longtime member of Washington Alliance Church, where she was deeply involved in church activities. She imparts her legacy of faith to her family and others. As a simple, loving and generous woman, her life ambition was to be remembered as a woman who “loved the Lord and was faithful”.
Friends will be received for a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 21, in the Washington Cemetery, with Pastor Brian Greenleaf officiating. Please meet at the cemetery office at 10:45 a.m. Saturday if planning to attend the service. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 18, in the Washington Alliance Church, 246 Sanitarium Road, Washington.
