Rosalyn DeLuca Knizner

Rosalyn “Lynn” DeLuca Knizner, 77, of Marianna, passed away Monday evening, August 23, 2021, in her home.

She was born January 20, 1944, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Frank Ottile Miller DeLuca.

A 1962 graduate of Shaler High School, she attended the Mason Village Beauty Academy in Pittsburgh.

Lynn was a beautician and worked in sales at the Joseph Horne Company.

She was a member of the Saint Katharine Drexel Parish and the former Saints Mary and Ann Parish in Marianna, the Marianna Women’s Club and the Washington County Women’s Club.

On May 9, 1964, in Marianna, she married Joseph Edward Knizner, who survives.

Also surviving are her children, Lyn Sloan (Rob) of Marianna, Joseph Edward Knizner (Rebecca) of Charlotte, N.C., Edward Joseph Knizner (Sheila) of Monongahela and Karyn Cecil (Stephen) of Marianna; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; her siblings, Camilla Geil (the late Leonard) of Glenshaw, Frank Joseph DeLuca (Sandra) of Maine and Conrad Gephart DeLuca (Arlene) of Plum Boro; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is a sister, Ursula Krzewinski (the late John).

Friends are welcome from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, August 28, in the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255.

A blessing service will be held at 2 p.m., with the Reverend Edward L. Yuhas officiating.

At a later date, private burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
