William B. Miller
William “Bill” B. Miller, 83, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Washington, died Monday, August 23, 2021, in Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
He was born October 9, 1938, in Washington, a son of the late William A. and Ruth Barkley Miller.
Bill graduated from Washington High School and attended California University of Pennsylvania. He worked for the Washington School District in maintenance, retiring in 2003.
Bill was a proud veteran of the Army.
He enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling and the times spent with granddaughter, great-granddaughters and family, especially at Seneca Lake, Ohio.
Bill was a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, American Legion Post #175 and Washington Elks.
On April 5, 1964, Bill married Margie Kay Hanam, who died September 22, 2005.
Left to cherish Bill’s memory are two daughters, Yvonne (Randy) Vermillion of Port Washington, Ohio, and Tracy Wright (Brian Deems) of Washington; granddaughter Jessica (James) Bonnell of Cambridge, Ohio; three great-granddaughters, Raelynn Kay, Piper Kennedy and Maddie Jo; a special niece, Holly Rea; a sister-in-law, Sonie Rea of Washington; a brother-in-law, Don (Allene) Hanam of Castle Rock, Colo.; and companion Susan Cole of Florida.
Services will be planned for a later date and will be announced at that time.
