Edward Theodore Sawicky, Jr., 53, died Thursday, August 26, 2021, in Presbyterian Senior Care, Southmont, Washington. He was born June 23, 1968, a son of Edward Theodore Sawicky Sr. of Marianna, and Mavanee Elmore Sawicky of Masontown.

Ed attended Bethlehem Center and Mon Valley Catholic schools.

He was baptized Catholic. He was currently a member of the Church of Christ in Lover, and also the Sons of American Legion.

Ed liked to go fishing, camping and also enjoyed cooking.

He is survived by a son, Edward Theodore Sawicky III of Erie; a sister, Rachelle Rasel of Masontown; and a brother, Jason Sawicky of Clarksville; four nieces, Angel Rasel, Alaura Rasel, Taylor Sawicky, Kaylee Sawicky; and one nephew, Coty Rasel.

Deceased are his grandparents, Helen Sawicky, Edward J. “Cots” Sawicky, Reba McMillion, Frank McMillion and John Rugeley Elmore Jr.; and a brother, Edward J. Sawicky.

Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the time of funeral services, Sunday, August 29, in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington. Interment will be in the Horn Cemetery, Marianna.
