Catherine Ann Piscitelli, 89, of Monongahela (Gallatin), died unexpectedly Sunday, August 29, 2021, in Jefferson Hospital. She was born May 21, 1932, in Gallatin, a daughter of Patsy and Minnie Milano Quattrone.

Catherine was a 1950 graduate of Monongahela High School and a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela. She was a 40-year member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Gallatin-Sunnyside Volunteer Fire Department. Catherine was very devoted to her family and loved taking care of her grandchildren when they were younger.

She is survived by her son, Anthony F. Piscitelli and wife Jeanie of Monongahela; daughter Angela M. Bordini and husband Joe of Carroll Township; five grandchildren, Nicholas Piscitelli and wife Nicole, Vincent Piscitelli and wife Stacee, Michael Grant and wife Nikki, Franki Blackwell and husband Justin, and Jacqueline Inserra; eight great-grandchildren, Luca and Dominic Piscitelli, Emma and Sidney Piscitelli, Bella Grant, Abel and Macklin Blackwell, and Sophia Foster.

In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. “Fido” Piscitelli, who died June 4, 1991; brother Philip P. Quattrone; and a sister, Carmela Bolias.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 2, in St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Monongahela, with the Rev. Joseph Uzar as celebrant. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
