Robert S. Ralston, 75, of McDonald, died Saturday, August 28, 2021, in his home.

He was born May 31, 1946, in Candor, a son of the late Elwood and Dorothy Strawn Ralston.

Mr. Ralston was a steel worker at J&L in Aliquippa and retired from Home Depot, Bridgeville in 2008.

He was a member of the United Steel Workers of America, the Slovene National Benefit Society (S.N.P.J.), the Midway Vets and the Burgettstown Vets.

Mr. Ralston enjoyed playing the lottery.

On August 19, 1965, he married Donna J. Gilbert, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Robert S. (Elaine) Ralston Jr. of Springtown, Texas; a daughter, Shelley R. (Harlan) Hayes of Midway; three grandchildren, Ben Ralston, Krystin Frye and Brianna Ralston; and a great-granddaughter, Emilee Frye.

Deceased are a brother, Elwood T. (Jane, of Burgettstown) Ralston; and two sisters, Mary Ralston and Kathryn Campbell.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice, especially Trish Paige.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, in the Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 2. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, Midway.
