William Goblesky

William “Willy” Goblesky, 88, of Cokeburg, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021, in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.

He was born February 15, 1933, in Wendel, a son of the late Joseph and Felica Gust Goblesky Sr.

He was an underground coal miner having been employed with Bethlehem Mines Corp. Mine #60 and Consol Energy performing various jobs for more than 42 years before retiring in 1994.

Mr. Goblesky thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors. He loved gardening, hunting, fishing and trapping. He also was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.

Mr. Goblesky was a 70-year member of the United Mine Workers of America Local #1197 and also a member of the Ellsworth Sportsman’s Club and the CFU St. George Lodge #354.

Surviving are two sons, Joseph Goblesky (Linda) and William Tracy Goblesky, both of Cokeburg; four grandchildren, Erika Goblesky, Amanda Priestly (Ayinde), Candace Goblesky and Angela Goblesky; two great-grandchildren, Lion Priestly and Lynx Priestly.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Dolores “Dolly” Goblesky, who passed away June 12, 2020; and a brother, Joseph Goblesky Jr.

Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville. Interment will be in the Beallsville Cemetery.
